About Us

Stephen qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1991 and was elected to the rank of Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1999. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Property Investment and also a Masters degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Cass Business School, City of London.

He initially trained with Matthews & Goodman in Liverpool and then worked for Knight Frank in their Manchester office where he set up and ran the building surveying department. Post completion of his MBA he moved into financial services working firstly at Westdeutsche Landesbank (corporate lending) and then RBS (real estate finance), in the City.

Stephen’s experience ranges from architectural design (new build and refurbishment), project management and surveys to granting loans from £1m to £1bn for corporate, investment and development purposes, across all property sectors.

Stephen was formerly a part time lecturer at the College of Estate Management covering real estate finance on the College’s Postgraduate Programme in Property Investment.
